Obituary of Karen Sue Erickson

Karen Sue (Campbell) Erickson, 70, left her earthly home in Muscatine, Iowa and entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on May 28, 2018.  Visitation for Karen will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.  Services for Karen will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at Calvary Church in Muscatine.  Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.  Following the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Grandview Community Bible Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to: Karen’s Caregiver’s Scholarship Fund.  Sympathy notes may be left at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com

 

Karen was born on April 25, 1948 in Wausau, Wisconsin to Kenneth and Virginia C. (Puckett) Campbell.  Karen graduated from Wausau High School and attended Briercrest Bible College.  Karen was a faithful pastor’s wife for over 35 years in Rockford, Illinois, and Grandview, Iowa and was a Para-educator at L & M Elementary School for 10 years. 

 

She married Darryl Erickson on April 25, 1970 at Immanuel Baptist Church is Wausau, Wisconsin.  Karen was a member of Grandview Community Bible Church and Grandview Women’s Club. 

 

Karen will be deeply missed by her husband, Darryl; children, Teresa (Tom) Randleman of Muscatine; Duane (Hannah) Erickson of Madison, WI; Jonathan (Bethany) Erickson of Grandview and one grandson, Kendrick.  She is also survived by her brothers, Richard of Wausau, Bruce of New Port Richey, FL, Scott and his wife, Kelly of Wausau; sister, Charlotte Hagenbucher of Wausau; and several nephews and cousins.

 

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Virginia; infant sister, Mary Virginia and sister-in-law, Laurie Campbell.
