Obituary of James Andrew Howard

James A. Howard, 79, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Lutheran Living. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Interment will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Visitation for James will be held on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. James Andrew Howard was born on November 5, 1939 in Rock Island County, Illinois, the son of Andrew Jackson and Emma Delilah (Kranz) Howard.  On August 6, 1960, James was united in marriage to Bonnie L. Moore in Muscatine.  James retired from Grain Processing Corporation.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting in his early years, playing slots at the casino, going for walks, bingo and watching old westerns. 

James will be deeply missed by his wife, Bonnie of Muscatine; children, Lisa Kuhn of Muscatine, James L. (Lucille) Howard of Des Moines, Timothy Howard of Muscatine and Janet (Charles) Khongmaly of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. 

James was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Harvey Howard and sister, Mary Howard.
