Obituary of Kenneth Albert Jones

Kenneth A. Jones, 55, of Iowa City, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.  There will be no visitation or funeral service.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.  The Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services of Lone Tree is caring for Kenneth’s family and arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Kenneth.  Online condolences for the family may be sent to www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Kenneth A. Jones was born on November 29, 1963, in Greensboro, N.C. the son of Henry Albert and Margaret Elizabeth (Lowery) Jones.  He graduated from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids.  Kenneth was employed as a cook at Village Inn in Iowa City.  He enjoyed model and remote controlled airplanes.

Kenneth will be deeply missed by his brother, Mike Jones and fiancé, Denise Shindelar of Cresco.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lullie Kay Jones.
