Obituary of Alberto Quintana

Alberto Quintana, 79, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Muscatine.  Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at the United Methodist Church in Columbus Junction.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, Illinois at a later date.  Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction.  A memorial has been established at the funeral home in memory of Alberto.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

            Alberto Marcial Quintana Chirrino as born on June 30, 1940, in Havana, Cuba the son of Alberto G. Quintana and Esperanza Chirrino Hernandez.  Alberto was united in marriage to Tomasa Melendez in Muscatine.  He worked at Tyson’s in Columbus Junction and enjoyed teasing people, reading and math.

            Alberto will be deeply missed by his wife, Tomasa of Columbus Junction; his children, Javier (Donna) Quintana-Sangroniz of Evansville, Illinois and Sandra (Fabian) Nieto of Grandview; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

            Alberto was preceded in death by his parents.
