Obituary of Billy E. Sager

Billy E. Sager, 66, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at his home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 10am to 1pm at the Youth Center at the Louisa County Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 7, 2019.  The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction is caring for Billy’s family and arrangements.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Billy Eugene Sager was born on March 7, 1953, in Olney, Illinois the son of Bill Sager and Delores (Harmon) Bean.  On July 17, 1976, Billy was united in marriage to Brenda Snyder and later divorced.  He proudly served in the United States Marines.  Billy worked at Tyson’s for many years and was a member of the N.R.A.  He enjoyed old westerns, grilling out, was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, and loved to listen to music really load,  especially the Beatles and AC/DC.

Billy will be deeply missed by his children, Jason Eugene (Ana) Sager of Chicago, IL, Jamie (Jesse) Hall of North Liberty and Tressa Sager of Riverside, step-children, Isaac, Alan, Maggie and Tony; five grandchildren, Adrian, Bryn, Quinton, Piper and Mckenna and siblings, Pat Sager of Guthrie, OK, Kris Sager of Norman, OK, John Sager of Norman, OK and Mike (Sally) Sager of Del City, OK.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lester Sager.
