Obituary of Donna May Black
Donna May Black, 83, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Premier Estates in Muscatine. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Muscatine. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Donna. Donna May Ballenger was born on March 16, 1936, in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Charles and Mildred Stella (Whisler) Ballenger. Donna served with the United States Air Force from May of 1953 – April of 1955. On July 15, 1955, Donna was united in marriage to Donald D. Black in Ft. Walton, Florida. Donna worked at the County Home for 4 years with handicapped children and was a homemaker.
Donna will be missed by her children, Darla Kay Black of Ayrshire, Iowa and Doulas Black of Muscatine; six grandchildren and one brother, Eldon Ballenger of Muscatine.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; one son, Dennis and one brother, Raymond Ballenger.
