Obituary of Lori Books

Lorraine “Lori” Books, 55, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at her home in Muscatine.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Geo. Lorraine Elizabeth Herlein was born on January 29, 1964, in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Jack and Rose (Cozad) Herlein.  She was united in marriage to Dan Books and later divorced.  Lori was a medical assistant at the Muscatine Care Center.  She enjoyed being on the computer, painting, crocheting and fishing, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially the grandchildren. 

Lori will be deeply missed by her special friend of 15 years, Bobby Goreham of Muscatine; her children, Rose Goreham, Jessica Goreham, Johnny Goreham and Beth (Jason) Cassens, all of Muscatine; eight grandchildren and one brother, John Herlein of Muscatine.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law and Bobby’s parents, Robert and Nancy Goreham.
