Obituary of Delores Evelyn Whitlow

Delores E. Whitlow, 90, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, peacefully in her home. Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center, located within Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Delores’ arrangements and her family. Delores Evelyn Wilson was born on July 25, 1926, in Muscatine, IA to Ralph R. and Florence M. (Pool) Wilson. She was united in marriage to Lloyd L. Whitlow on September 27, 1946 in Muscatine. Delores was a homemaker, taking care of her family. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, bluegrass music, crocheting, word puzzles, reading, and most of all loved spending time with family and friends. Delores will be missed by her four children, David (Christine) Whitlow of Muscatine, Daniel (Tamara) Whitlow of Marion, Dennis (Rosemary) Whitlow of Muscatine and Deanna (Scott) Herald of Columbus Junction; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Delores was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Robert Wilson.
