Obituary of Chester Francis Anderson

Chester F. Anderson, 93, of Mt. Union, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Great River Klein Center in Burlington. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Chester Francis Anderson was born on April 13, 1924, in Mt. Union, Iowa the son of Raymond Francis and Blanche Eliza (Canby) Anderson.  On May 10, 1942, Chester was united in marriage to Macel Abrisz in Palmyra, Missouri.  Chester was a farmer in the Mt. Union area and also was the owner and operator of Anderson Sanitation.  Chester enjoyed “briggling” around his beloved farm and raising his many horses.

Chester will be deeply missed by his wife, Macel of Burlington, IA, his children, Linda Lance of Trenton, IA, Jacque Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, IA and Cathy Hoschek of Burlington, IA; eight grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.

Chester was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter in infancy and two brothers.
