Obituary of Don E. Ibbotson

     Don E. Ibbotson, 60, of Fredonia, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at his home.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction.  Burial will be in the Fredonia cemetery at a later date.  Visitation for Don will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  A memorial has been established at the funeral home in memory of Don.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

     Don Elvin Ibbotson was born on June 20, 1957, in Burlington, Iowa the son of John Elvin and Lula Belle (Gann) Ibbotson.  Don was a truck driver for Stutsman’s in Hills.  He was a member of several car clubs and enjoyed showing and working on cars, the outdoors fishing or just relaxing by the pond and he loved to spend time with family.    

     Don will be deeply missed by his son, Don (Sarah) Bishop of Muscatine; 14 grandchildren; mother, Lula Belle Greene of Grandview; three brothers, David Ibbotson, Dale Ibbotson and Delbert (Star) Ibbotson, all of Fredonia; one sister, Linda Clarkson of Fredonia and special friend and companion, Connie Pendleton of Fredonia.           

     Don was preceded in death by his father, two sons, Ralph “Buddy” Bishop and Jerome Ibbotson and paternal and maternal grandparents.
