Obituary of Janice Darlene Canarr

Janice D. Canarr, 73, of Rock Island, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Unity Point Rock Island.  Visitation for Janice will be Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Muscatine.  Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.   A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Janice’s name.  Sympathy notes for the family may be left at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. 

Janice Darlene Barnes was born on December 16, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Willard L. and Thelma M. (Chamberlin) Barnes.  On November 10, 1962, she was united in marriage to Frederick P. Canarr in Rock Island.  She was a member of Calvary Church of the Quad Cities, she enjoyed gambling, listening to country music and most of loved spending time with family and friends.

Janice will be deeply missed by her husband, Frederick Carnarr of Rock Island; her children Lisa A. Brandon, Diane K. Holloway and her husband, Kirk, step-son, Fred Canarr Jr. and step-daughter, Robin Dudley; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and siblings, Elsie Marie Grubbs, Brenda K. Pendergraft, Debbie Brown and her husband, Opie, and Dale Barnes and his wife, Virginia.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Robert, Jim and Albert, and a sister, Mary Lowe.
