Obituary of Mike Villagrana

Mike Villagrana, 79, of Conesville, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his home.  Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.  The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services are caring for Mike’s family and his arrangements.

Refugio Villagrana was born on July 4, 1938 in Gomez Palacio Durango, Mexico, he was the son of Pablo and Teodora (Sifuentes) Villagrana.  On August 28, 1969, Mike was united in marriage to Dorothy Conaway in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuzhua.  Mike had worked for West Liberty Foods and Rath Packaging.  He then along with his wife, Dorothy began traveling around the area with the “Taco Truck” for three years going to varies activities before becoming the owner of the El Charro Restaurant in Conesville.  Mike enjoyed wood working, and building things especially making elaborate bird houses. 

Mike will be deeply missed by his wife, Dorothy of Conesville; children, Miguel Villagrana and Sonia (Saul) Briones; Veronica (Enrique) and Laura (Fernando); step-children, Becky (Raul) and Rhonda; siblings; Francisco “Pancho” (Chana), Emilio (Candelaria), Gloria “Golla,” Pablo “Chato” (“Concha”), Marcelena “Chela” (“Nano”), Alicia “Licha” and Jorge (Gabina); grandchildren, Andrew, Alexandria and Emilio Villagrana, Javier and Robert Rendon, Benjamin Briones, Sylvia Briones, Monica, Viviana, Jesus, Veronica, Claudia, Carla, Ruly, Bianca, Richard, Madison, Shawna and John; several great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. 

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Michaela and Carlos; step-children, Dennis and Debbie (Deborah) and brother-in-law, Benigno.
