Obituary of Nancy Joan Goreham

Nancy J. Goreham, 79, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport.  Funeral services for Nancy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.  Burial will be in the Fairport Cemetery.  Visitation for Nancy will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.    A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Nancy.    Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. 

Nancy Joan Ricketts was born on October 10, 1938, in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Charles Gordon and Dorothy May (Day) Ricketts.  On March 23, 1958, Nancy was united in marriage to Robert Russell Goreham in Phoenix, Arizona.  She was a homemaker and a past member of the Eagles.  She enjoyed traveling, life, friends and family and was known as the Fairport Taxi.

Nancy will be deeply missed by her children, Shirley Mathis, Patty (Norman) Cole, Bobby Goreham and Gary (Linda) Goreham all of Muscatine; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, Dixie Goreham, Roxie (Randy) Hake and Betty (Richard) Bohling all of Muscatine; sister-in-law, Kay Ricketts of Davenport and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Danny; grandson, Devin; four brothers, Ronald, Joey, Leroy and Charles; two sisters, Mary (Novie) Baney and Rachel Ricketts and brother-in-law, Jim Goreham.
