Obituary of Vicki Noreen Cecil

Vicki Noreen Cecil, 69, of Columbus City, Iowa, died Monday, December 11, 2017 at her home.  Graveside services for Vicki will be at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Columbus City Cemetery.  Following the services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the American Legion in Columbus Junction.  A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Vicki’s name.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.  The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services are caring for Vicki’s family and her arrangements. 

Vicki Noreen Frisk was born September 13, 1948, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Leonhard and Bonnie (Buster) Frisk.  On June 16, 1965 Vicki was united in marriage to John “Jack” Cecil in Columbus Junction, IA.  Vicki was a homemaker and helped her husband Jack at Cecil’s Standard in Columbus Junction.  Vicki was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and Crazy Eights card club.  She enjoyed reading, bowling, crossword puzzles, playing cards and watching golf and tennis. 

Vicki will be deeply missed by her daughters, Stephanie (Devin) Carrier of Columbus Junction, Shari (Jeff) Vonnahme of South Beloit, IL and Samantha (Adam) Sierer of Bettendorf, IA; 6 grandchildren, Jenna (Johnathan) Huston, Addison O’Conner, Evan O’Conner, Clint O’ Conner, Eden Sierer and Monroe Sierer; one great-grandson on the way; siblings, Dayle (Esther) Frisk of Palmdale, CA, Myron (Romie) Frisk of Rosemead, CA and Lorna Harris of San Angelo, TX; brother-in-law, Bill Larkin of Wayland; sisters-in-law, Velma Frisk of Colton, CA and Jill Cecil of Columbus Junction and several nieces and nephews. 

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack in 2005; sister, Myrna Larkin and brother, Roger “Pink” Frisk.
