Obituary of Edward Glen Fountain

Edward Glen Fountain, 54, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at his home.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.  Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Muscatine Baptist Chapel.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Edward’s name.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. 

Edward was born on August 21, 1963, in Bloomfield, Iowa the son of George Louis and Catherine Agnes (Sickle) Fountain.  On September 5, 1981, Edward was united in marriage to Janelle Dunbar in Muscatine, they later divorced.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering, his Harley motorcycle, but most of all he dearly loved to spend time with his family.

Edward will be deeply missed by his children, Sara Fountain, of Cedar Rapids, Christina Fountain Baker of Roann, Indiana and Whitney Fountain of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, Alyse Fountain, Peyton, Rheise, David and Elizabeth Baker and Gabriel Fountain; parents, Cathy Ribbink of Muscatine and George (Connie) Fountain of Ottumwa; brother, David (Tina) Fountain of Macon, Illinois; nephews, Josh Fountain of Waukee, Jacob Fountain of Des Moines, Anthony Forbes of North English; and niece Kayla (Zach)  Shingleton of Macon.

Edward was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; grandchildren, Zaiden Garrison, Aiden Fountain and Genevieve Wilson; and son-in-law, Jeff Baker.
