Obituary of Dean Allen Hafner

Dean Allen Hafner, 73, of Moscow, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Lutheran Living.  Per Dean’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation.  Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center, located within Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services are caring for Dean’s arrangements and his family.   Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

 

Dean Allen Hafner was born on May 4, 1944, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Vernon L. and Rosalie (Hammer) Hafner.  Dean was proud of his farming and dairy background and enjoyed “talking farming” with his nephew, Tim.  He loved fancy cars and had many nice ones throughout his life.  Dean also enjoyed antique tractors and had restored several of his early tractors and yard work.

 

Dean will be deeply missed by his sisters, Carol Maxwell of Moscow and Sandy (Steve) Connor of Muscatine; nephew and care taker, Tim (Patty) Maxwell; nephew, Brett (Kristie) Maxwell; niece, Tara (Louie) Broders and many nieces and nephews.

 

            Dean was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Tom Maxwell.
