Obituary of Maria Dolores Perez

Maria D. Perez, 71, of Conesville, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.  Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St Joseph’s Catholic Church.  Burial will be in the Conesville Cemetery.  Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Conesville Community Center.   Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. rosary service at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, Columbus Junction.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.             Maria Dolores Cuellar was born on July 6, 1946 in Del Rio, Texas, the daughter of Thomas D. and Francisca (Bustamantes) Cuellar.  In 1961, Maria was united marriage to Jesus A. Perez in Del Rio, Texas.  She enjoyed watching soap operas, listening to music, traveling and spending time with her family

            Maria will be deeply missed by her husband, Jesus of Conesville; children, Maria Shepard (Kenny Crawford) of Conesville, Maria (Jose Luis) Luna of Stephenville, Texas, Elizabeth (Marco) Galvan of North Liberty, Rosa Linda Perez of Conesville, Laura (Michael) Benavidez of Irving, Texas and Belinda (Jamie) Tipps of Wapello; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; siblings, Francisco (Blanca) of Marshalltown, Iowa, Celia (Claudio) Meza of Columbus Junction, Linda Marin of Ft. Worth, TX, Jose Cuellar of Columbus Junction, Ruth Cuellar of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Robert (Rosa) Cuellar of Green Bay, Wisconsin. 

            Maria was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Sylvia Crystal Ramero; brother, Thomas Cuellar; and sister, Elva Jimenez.
