Obituary of Eldon Hager
Eldon Hager, 86, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Veteran Hospital in Iowa City. Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Eldon’s name. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. The Geo. M. Eldon Lawson Hager was born on November 17, 1931 in Stanford, Texas to Henry and Eunice (McAda) Hager. Eldon served his country in the United States Army. On December 6, 1963 he was united in marriage to Faye Foster in Texas. Eldon had worked as an oil field welder. He enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles, fishing, arrow head hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Eldon will be missed by his wife, Faye of Muscatine; daughter, Leslie (Eric) Wagner of Muscatine; grandchildren, Derek Wagner of Iowa City and Rachel Wagner of Muscatine; grandchildren, Billy Nevels and Melisa Haws both of Texas; great-grandchildren, Jessica Haws, Daniel Haws and James Blackwell and brother, Bob (Bobbie) Hager of Sweetwater, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Henry Eugene; grandson, James Mills; daughters, Retha Mills and Linda Donette Wood and five siblings.
