Obituary of Sue Askew

Sue Sharon Askew, 72, of Walcott, passed away on Wednesday, February, 21, 2018 at Lutheran Living.  A prayer service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.  Visitation will follow the prayer service until 3:00 p.m.  A celebration of life will be held following the visitation on Sunday at the V. F. W. Post 1565 on Grandview Avenue, Muscatine, Iowa.   The family requests everyone to wear their favorite sports team attire.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Sue’s name. Sue Sharon Orr was born on August 18, 1945 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Madge (Church) Orr.  On April 18, 1964, Sue was united in marriage to Dale Dean Askew in Muscatine.  Sue worked in Housekeeping at the I-80 truck stop.  She enjoyed watching the Cubs and NASCAR. 

Sue will be deeply missed by her son, Jeff (fiancé, Christina Bowser) Askew of Walcott; grandchildren, Gage (Belinda) Lykam, Jacob (MacKenzie) Askew; step-granddaughters, Breanna and Alexus Bowser; two great-grandsons, Dontavious and Geovante; brother, Don (Dorothy) Orr of Columbus Junction; sister, Charlene (Jim) Angerer of Marion and nieces and nephews.   

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale in 2011; one son, Gregory Allen Askew and one brother, Bob Orr.
