Obituary of John Brokaw

John Brokaw, 62, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.  Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.  Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in John’s name.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

John Charles Brokaw was born on December 10, 1955 in Muscatine, Iowa to William and Shirley (Truitt) Brokaw.  John was united in marriage to Darlene Schultz and they later divorced.  He had worked at West Liberty Foods.  He enjoyed camping, fishing and especially the time he spent with his grandchildren. 

John will be deeply missed by his daughter, Tonya Brokaw of Muscatine; three grandchildren, Haley, Hannah and Harper and siblings, Lillian Brown of Wilton, Barb Schnick of Muscatine, Eugene Brokaw of Fort Madison and Brenda and Rex Brokaw. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.
