Obituary of William Stewart
William Ray Stewart, 90, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Windmill Manor in Coralville. Graveside services will be Friday, March 16, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. William Ray Stewart was born on December 12, 1927, the son of Everett A. and Alice E. (Townsend) Stewart. In his younger days Bill was a farmer and raised Angus cattle, he later managed restaurants and ceramics gift shops. He was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed working with ceramics and gardening.
Bill will be deeply missed by his nephew, Michael W. (Karen) Hendrickson of North Liberty; great-nephews, Curtis (Betsy) Hendrickson, Travis (Amber) Hendrickson and Jared Hendrickson and great-great nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Phyllis Hendrickson and Patricia Crane.
