Obituary of Cody Nicholas France

Cody Nicholas France, 39, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 in Louisa County.  Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center, located within Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  The Geo. Cody Nicholas France was born on February 21, 1979 in Pawnee City, Nebraska, the son of Terry France and Sandra Grady.  On July 11, 1997, He was united in marriage to Heather Renae Rockey in Iowa City.  Cody received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and was currently owner/operator of Recarha Transportation.  Cody was a very active guy who loved the outdoors. In his free time, he enjoyed boating, kayaking and coaching girl’s softball.  Cody was a known history buff, avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed attending football games, especially the Nebraska Huskers, although he was slowly learning to enjoy the Iowa State Games as well. 

Cody will be missed by his wife, Heather France of Muscatine; three beautiful daughters, Regan France of Cedar Falls, Carly France of Muscatine and Harper France of Muscatine; mother, Sandy Grady of Muscatine, father, Terry (Mary) France of Gardner, Kansas, brother, Jacob (Denae) France and their children, Stormy and Ava all of Waukee, half-sister, Callie Perez and her son, Isaac of Gardner, Kansas and maternal grandmother, Irene “Pat” Grady of Omaha. 

Cody was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Don and Rene Mayer, maternal grandfather, John Grady and his big brother, Jesse France in 1990.
