Obituary of Madison Chandler
Madison Chandler, 25, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Visitation for Madison will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Marion Avenue Baptist Church, 215 South Marion Avenue, Washington, Iowa. The Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. and the Burial will conclude the services at the Columbus City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for his daughter’s education (Ariana) has been established at the funeral home in memory of Madison. The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction is caring for Madison’s family and the arrangements. Madison Bray Chandler was born on July 30, 1992, the son of John Bloomer and Diana (Bausch) Chandler. Madison attended schools in Columbus Junction and Louisa Muscatine, graduating from L&M in 2010. He worked with John at the truck wash and most recently worked for Oral B in Iowa City. Madison had a passion for music, engineering music and performing in the area, where his friends and family were frequent attendees. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, bowling, playing poker and air Frisbee with all of his friends. Madison always kept everyone around him in smiles and laughs, and his humor and humble personality will be greatly missed by those closest to him.
Madison will be deeply missed by his parents, John Bloomer and Diana Chandler of Columbus Junction; daughter Ariana Chandler and her mother, Shelby Krueger, both of Letts; sisters, Summer Gadola of North Liberty, Heaven Chandler of Iowa City, Derik Chandler of Cedar Rapids and Lucy, Brooklyn Jaylynn and Ryleigh Bloomer, all at home; grandparents, Gary and Joyce Bausch of Columbus Junction, Bobbie Jean Chandler of Upland, CA and Norma Bloomer of Columbus Junction;
Madison was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harold Chandler, Bart Schweitzer and Keith Bloomer and great-grandparents, Lester and Dorothy Johnson.
