Obituary of Sara B. Anderson

Sara B. Anderson, 70, of Muscatine passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018, at her home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.  Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Sara’s name.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Sara’s arrangements and her family.

Sara Belle Simmons was born on July 10, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Cecil O. and Mildred S. (Hanft) Simmons.  Sara was a truck driver and later worked at the Holiday Inn in Muscatine.  She enjoyed fishing, puzzles and computer games.

Sara will be missed by her children, Delia Lindsay of Oklahoma and Nathan Lindsey of Urbana, Illinois and three sisters, Mary Berardi of Muscatine, Barbara Freeman of Urbana, Illinois and Susan Parrish of Muscatine.

                She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
