Obituary of Gerard Kelly Yeggy
Gerard Kelly Yeggy, 54, of Lone Tree, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2018 at his home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lone Tree Cemetery. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in memory of Gerard. The Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services of Lone Tress is caring for Gerard’s arrangements. Gerard Kelly Yeggy was born on September 18, 1963, in Iowa City, Iowa the son Clair and Doris (Russ) Yeggy. Gerard grew up in Riverside. He had worked for the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics for 12 years, was an EMT for 8 years and most recently had worked for the City of Iowa City and the City of Washington. Gerard enjoyed the outdoors, putting together model cars, fishing, hunting and NASCAR.
Gerard will be deeply missed by Barbara Larpenter and her children, Jesse and JoAnn; brother, Anthony (Annette) Yeggy; sister, Teresa (Lee) Robertson and dear friends, Elsie and Wilbur Mast and many other friends.
Gerard was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Claire.
