Obituary of Mary Faith Allen

Mary F. Allen, 73, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Premier Estates. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.  Inurnment will take place at Island Cemetery.  Following the inurnment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00
P.M. until service time at the funeral home.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Mary’s name.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Mary Faith Allen was born on October 19, 1944 in Muscatine, the daughter of Edward and Bernice (Shepard) Zimmerman.  In 1960, Mary was united in marriage to Wesley Oral Morse and later divorced.  She later married Donald Dwight Allen on October 30, 1980 in Muscatine.  Mary retired from GPC in 2008 after 35 years of service.  She had been formerly involved with the Jaycees, American Legion Auxiliary and organizing the Red Cross blood drives at GPC.   She loved crocheting, gardening, fishing and more than anything, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Mary will be missed by her two children, Marilee Bohling and fiancé, Charlie Pace and Wesley (Cassandra) Morse all of Muscatine; step-children Vernon Allen of Muscatine Catherine (Gus) Jakubsen and Kenneth (Mary) Morse all of Davenport; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bernita (Shelby) Webb of Grand Mound.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Don.
