Obituary of Mark D. Finke
Mark D. Finke, 62, of Columbus Junction passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at his home. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Service of Columbus Junction. Per Mark’s wishes there will be no funeral service. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Mark. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.
Mark DeWayne Finke was born on October 5, 1955, in Washington, Iowa the son of Floyd DeWayne and Doris Maureen (Boulton) Finke. Mark was a 1973 graduate of Columbus Community School, where he excelled in wrestling, still holding the record for fastest pin. On June 15, 1974, Mark was united in marriage to Cynthia Vetter at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He worked for NGLP for over 30 years and then became a 3rd Party Chief Inspector for Mustang Engineering. Mark enjoyed building fence, cattle and spending time with his family.
Mark will be deeply missed by his wife, Cindy of Columbus Junction; two sons, Joe (Angela) Finke of Columbus Junction and Lee Finke and his fiancé, Kayla Kesl of St. Charles and one sister, Debbie Finke (Mike Hall) of Columbus Junction.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents.
