Obituary of William Henry Young

William H. Young, 79, of Illinois City, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Premier Estates of Muscatine.  Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center. William Henry Young was born on December 29, 1939 in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Glenn and Neva (Terry) Young.   On April 19, 1984, Bill was united in marriage to Patty Ann Doyle in Illinois City.  Bill had worked as a mechanic for his parent’s gas station and Miller Container.  He enjoyed racing – ¾ midgets and watching NASCAR.

Bill will be deeply missed by his son, Kenton B. Hitchcock and his wife, Jody of Muscatine; two grandchildren, JR (Natalie) Nott and Kolton Hitchcock; three great-grandchildren, Caden, Bryleigh and Abel Nott; brothers, Bud and Tom Young of Rock, Island and sister Mary Young of Rock Island. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patty in 2009; brother, John Young and sister, Sharon Young.
