Obituary of Macel Irene Anderson

Macel Irene Anderson, 94, of West Burlington, formerly of Mt. Union, passed away on Tuesday September 18, 2018, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Macel Irene Abrisz was born on June 4, 1924, in Hillsboro, Iowa the daughter of Bessie June Elmore and George Edward Abrisz.  On May 10, 1942, Macel was united in marriage to Chester Anderson in Palmyra, Missouri.  Macel was a homemaker, employed by Champion Sparkplug for 20 years, co-owner and operator of Anderson Sanitation, and later enjoying many years of retirement. 

Macel will be deeply missed by her children, Linda Lance of Trenton, IA, Jacque Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, IA and Cathy Hoschek of Burlington, IA; eight grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. They say goodbye not only to their mother and grandmother, but to the best listener with the kindest heart, and anchor to their entire family.

Macel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter in infancy, three brothers and one sister.
