Obituary of Anna Mae Noll

Anna Mae Noll, 79, of Muscatine passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at New Hope United Methodist Church.  Interment will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at New Hope.  Visitation will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 3:00 -7:00 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Muscatine Humane Society.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

 

Anna Mae was born on December 9, 1938 in Canton, Missouri, the daughter of Arthur Dewain and Beulah Louisa (Woods) Shew.  Anna Mae was a graduate of Canton High School.  She was united in marriage to Lloyd Bugh and later divorced.  She later married Floyd C. McConnaha.  Following Floyd’s death in June of 1981, Anna Mae was united in marriage to Raymond R. Noll on August 16, 1986 in Muscatine, who passed February 7, 2006.  She had worked as a home care aid and was employed with UnityPoint and Good Samaritan Healthcare until her death.   Anna Mae was a member of Spangler Chapel UMC.  Anna Mae volunteered with Volunteer Action and because of her love of pets she also volunteered at the Muscatine Humane Society.  She loved her goats, chickens, pot bellied pigs and cared for them.  She loved going to yard sales with her friends, playing Bingo and attending the sporting events of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Anna Mae was also an avid Iowa Hawkeye Basketball fan.

 

Anna Mae will be missed by her children, Cindy (Robert) Axtell of Muscatine, Cathy (Donald) Jackson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cammi (Jim) Williams of Wilton, Clayton (Cindy) McConnaha of Muscatine and Chuck (Amie) McConnaha of Muscatine; 17 grandchildren, Adam (Sarah) Axtell, Nick (Ali) Axtell, B. J. (Carrie) Axtell, Tom (Tasha) Broderson, Michelle (Charlie) Berns, Andy (Danielle) Broderson, Beth (Jacob) Broderson, Emily (Evan) Gray, Eric Gray, Jared Williams, Alec Williams, Colton Joseph Alan (Danielle) McConnaha, Caleb Floyd McConnaha, Cade Clayton McConnaha, Carisa Jean McConnaha, Chase Jon McConnaha and Caylie Joyce McConnaha, and 13 great grandchildren, Lodden Axtell, Casten Axtell, Brogan Axtell, Brecken Axtell, Rennan Axtell, Cylas Axtell, Nash Axtell, Karolyn Broderson, Callie Broderson, Rebecca Shad, Ayden Burns, Ethan Burns and Jocelyn Curtis.

 

Anna Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Floyd and Raymond; one brother, Clarence Shew and four sisters, Velma Porter, LaraJean Taylor, Ruby Teaff and Millie Hughes.

 

Anna Mae was known as the kindest, most gentle, caring, selfless person anyone could have ever known.
