Obituary of Lois Hammer

Lois Marie Hammer, 85, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Premier Estates. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton.   A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Lois’ name.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.  The Geo. Lois Marie Hathaway was born on January 17, 1933 in Muscatine the daughter of Thomas and Edna (Shock) Hathaway.  On May 12, 1975 in Rock Island, Illinois she was united in marriage to Warren Hammer.  Lois had worked for Stanley Consultants, Muscatine County Residential Services and volunteered for Senior Resources and the Muscatine Hospital.    She enjoyed crocheting and loved her cats. 

Lois will be missed by her step-children, Tom Hammer, Steven Hammer, Brian Hammer, Mary Beth Hunn and Kevin Hammer; several grandchildren; two step-brothers, Richard and James Goodrick and several nieces and nephews. 

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren in 1991; daughter, Diane Gasaway and three brothers, Charles, David and Lyle Hathaway.
