Obituary of Carolyn S. Hoskins

Carolyn S. Hoskins, 72, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.  The Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree is caring for Carolyn’s family and her arrangements.  Online condolences for the family may be sent to www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Carolyn Sue Wheeler was born on November 22, 1946, in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Austin Charles and Georgia May Frances (Hunter) Wheeler.  On July 14, 1976, Carolyn was united in marriage to Lee Ray Hoskins, Jr.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

Carolyn will be deeply missed by her children, Carolyn (Jeff) Clay of Muscatine, John Harris of Springfield, MO, Roy Hoskins of Muscatine, Lee Hoskins of Muscatine and Katherine (Dustin) Brooks of Atalissa; step-children, Lawson Paul Morrison of Manchester, Toyna (Paul) Hake of Muscatine, Tina Morrison-Brown of Muscatine; five grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; and siblings, Charlette (Stanley Reynolds, Charles Wheeler, Cecil (Darlene) Wheeler and Claudine Wheeler, all of Springfield, MO.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Tammy Hoskins and siblings, Catherine Wheeler, Clarence Wheeler and Chester Wheeler.
