Obituary of Ricky A. Bowers

Ricky A. Bowers, 64, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation for Ricky will be held on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to establish an education fund for his granddaughter, Riley. Ricky Allen Bowers was born on September 10, 1954 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Jess and Mabel J. (Moulton) Bowers.  On February 5, 1983, Ricky was united in marriage to Patricia Joann Hathaway in Muscatine, they later divorced.  He had worked as a Janitor at HNI through Goodwill Industries for 30-years.   Ricky enjoyed working out at the YMCA riding bikes, watching the superbowl and WWE Wrestling, was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and loved spending time with his granddaughter. 

Ricky will be missed by his son Adam (Breanne) Bowers of Atkinson, Illinois; granddaughter, Riley Dorothy Jo Bowers; and girlfriend, Barb Lanfier of Muscatine. 

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents.
