Dear Tom, Lori, Deanne and family,
Prayers to all of you as you lay to rest the “gentle and inspirational” anchor that held your family close to her heart. Your family’s faith, which is a woodruff trait, has gotten you all through this time of grief and loss. Doris is now your angel, looking down from heaven, and will guide you throughout your trials and tribulations. May the faith she represented, the live she gave you, and the independence she taught you, help you take the next steps in life. The fond memories of childhood, your cabin adventures in Sherwood Forest and the paths you took in adulthood help you remember the sweetness and support of a loving mother. May angels surround you All always.

Our heart and prayer go out to Tom and the rest of the Woodruff Family. Reading the Obituary was taken by the statement how the quiet leader and gentleness of her soul. I have known Tom and Doris for nearly 60 years and can attest to this gentle soul called to heaven. Doris was as dear and loving as ever and together Tom and Doris were simply precious. I understand your loss but believe, we never lose a Doris, she will live on in us forever. The time will come when we all aspire to grace the forever together in the heavenly arms of our God. Make God offer comfort to you during this difficult time. Gods Many Blessings your way. Gary, Beth and Family

My condolences to you, Tom. May the Lord provide you comfort. I want to thank you for your loving friendship to my brother Russell Cummings during the time you served in army with Russell in Germany and your visitation with him celebrating his big 80th and during his last days. Russell thought the world of you. You and Doris have served your community so diligently. You two leave a remarkable legacy.

We shall deeply miss our new friend Doris in the various ways we have enjoyed her company & Tom's, at our joint new home in Brown Deer Place. What a lovely, spiritual, & delightful person she has been to know. After meeting her lovely grand daughters, we know her many talents & gifts have been passed to the next generation for others to appreciate.
We extend our condolences, thoughts & prayers to Tom & all her family in this difficult time & may God's loving arms comfort them. Larry & Janice
