Obituary of Tim Dean

Timothy Dean, 53, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the OSF Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.  A celebration of life for Tim will be on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established at the funeral home for Tim’s family in his memory. Timothy Burton Dean was born on June 25, 1965 in Craig, Colorado the son of Richard and Esther (Melloan) Dean. Tim was a 1983 graduate of Muscatine High School and went on to graduate from St. Ambrose University with a degree in Criminal Justice.   On May 6, 2000, Tim was united in marriage to Karole Ferguson in Muscatine.   Tim had worked as a tour bus driver for Husky Homestead in Alaska and most recently was a transportation driver for North Cedar Trucking.  He enjoyed golfing, traveling, exercising, bike riding and collecting shot glasses.  His greatest love is the time he spent with his grandchildren. 

Tim will be deeply missed by his wife, Karole; sons, Rodney Koenig, Kodi (Amanda) Koenig and Alex (Melissa) Stauffer of Muscatine and Marcus Stauffer of Letts; grandchildren, Kadin, Kaleb, Zoe, Keaton, Karizma and Aubree; his mother, Esther Dean of Muscatine; siblings, Teresa (Frank) Spangehl of San Tan, Arizona and Karen (Jody) Harkness of Appleton, Wisconsin and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.   

Tim was preceded in death by his father.
