Obituary of Sandy Jamison

Sandy Jamison, 77, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Washington County Hospital.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction.  Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery.  Following the committal services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Columbus Junction American Legion.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or a Scholarship Fund for Winfield Mt.             Sandy Trede was born on July 19, 1941, in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Woodrow W. and Dorothy A. (Behm) Trede.  She was a 1959 graduate of Davenport Central High School.  On November 2, 1963, Sandy was united in marriage to Frank Jamison in Davenport.  She worked for the Conesville School, Cotter School and retired from Kirkwood Community College in Washington.  Sandy was a member of the local Bridge Club and enjoyed home decorating, cross stitch, reading, gardening, puzzles and her dogs, but most of all, she dearly loved attending her granddaughters’ sporting events. 

            Sandy will be deeply missed by her husband, Frank of Columbus Junction; son, Mike (Marcia) Jamison of Columbus Junction; three granddaughters, Samantha, Caitlin and Lauren; three sisters, Dona (Jack) Hendrickson of Grinnell, Vicki (Phil) Ealy of Washington and Gayle Trede of Mt. Pleasant and many nieces and nephews.

            Sandy was preceded in death by her parents.
