Obituary of Lori Sissel

Lori E. Sissel, 52, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 P,M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to the Lora Sissel Benefit Acct No. 1020053847 CBI Bank and Trust.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Lori’s name. Lori was born on November 26, 1966 in Muscatine, the daughter of Kary Dale and Sharon Sue (Schwob) Sissel.  Lori had been united in marriage to Russ Vroman and later divorced.  She later married Korey Bunn and later divorced.  Lori attended Wilton Schools and graduated from Muscatine High School in 1984.  She was employed as part of the opening crew of the Isle of Capri and had worked there for 13 years.  She was currently employed at Raymond Corporation.  Lori was a member of the QC Jeep Jammers and enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, drawing, sketching, and spending time with her children and her animals.  
 

Lori will be deeply missed by her daughter, Holly (Nick) Bruns of Davenport; son, Griffin Bunn of Muscatine; sister, Lisa (Bryan) Garrett of Muscatine; nephew Zach Garrett; niece, Bryanna (Jesse) Burkey; great-niece Avery Beatrice; uncles, Thomas (Jackie) Schwob of Grand Prairie, Texas; Kent Sissel of Muscatine, Tim Sissel of Iowa City and her best friends Leslie Torres and her daughter, Lucia both of Muscatine.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents and paternal and maternal grandparents.
