Obituary of Tim Milder

Tim M. Milder, 55, of Columbus Junction, passed away suddenly, on Saturday, March 30, 2019.  Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Roundy Elementary School Gymnasium.   Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Columbus Community Softball or towards Emma’s Education Fund.  Online condolences may be left at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. 

Timothy Michael Milder was born on September 22, 1963 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Richard and Regina (VanHecke) Milder.  Tim was a 1982 graduate of Columbus Community High School.   On May 14, 1988, Tim was united in marriage to Colleen Stogdill in Columbus Junction.   Tim was an Army Veteran and worked as a supervisor at Tyson Foods.   Tim was always very active in the Columbus Community, he was involved with Columbus Junction Fire Department, Booster Club, helped coach little league and ASA softball, served as the head softball coach since 2009 and helped as the assistant volleyball coach.  Tim also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, coaching softball, bowling, doing taxidermy and working with show lambs.  His greatest love was the time he spent with his family.

 Tim will be deeply missed by his wife, Colleen of Columbus Junction; children, Zach Milder of Columbus City, Kyndal (Kevin) Lievano of Fayetteville, NC and Emma Milder at home in Columbus Junction; his mother, Regina (Fred)  Buckman of Columbus City; siblings, Ed (Shanda) Milder of Lacon Illinois, Andy (Machelle) Milder of Fredonia, Eileen (Rick) Stroud of Fredonia, Tony “Bone” (Betsy) Milder of Wilton; brothers and sisters-in law, Henrietta Stogdill and Chan Williams of Columbus Junction, Kenneth (Loree) Stogdill of Crawfordsville, Randy (Peggy) Stogdill of Crawfordsville, Rodney (Rita) Stogdill of Wayland, Carl (Denise) Stogdill of Wyman and Phyllis (Doug) Love of Wayland; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

Tim was preceded in death by his father; paternal and maternal grandparents; and his mother and father-in-law.
