Obituary of Amy Sue Bell Smith

              Amy Sue Bell Smith, 51, of Columbus Junction passed away on April 1, 2019 surrounded by her family.    A celebration of life for Amy will be held on May 4, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge in Columbus City.  Private family burial will be held in the Columbus City Cemetery.  The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services of Columbus Junction is caring for Amy and her family.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

            Amy is survived by her husband, Darren Smith and sons, Lane Kauffman, Monte (Jana Havill) Kauffman and Gunnar Leinbach; daughter, Jade (Kenny) McKean; grandchildren, Sage, Lainey, Deveny and Everly; her parents, George and Rose Bell; brother, Sam; sister, Laura (Kevin) Davis and niece and nephews. 

            Amy had planned on spoiling her grandchildren and watching them grow up.  She wanted you to know this: 

            I was given the gift of life on April 7, 1967 and now have to give it back.  Finding out that my cancer came back in 2016 and that it was terminal was the hardest thing to hear.  But that is the circle of life. 

            Amy joins grandson, Eldon Dean McKean; grandparents, Wm and Ethel Schwab and Howard and Etta Bell.
