Obituary of David Tripses

David Tripses, 75, Lone Tree, passed Friday, July 12, 2019, at his home.  Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July, 15, 2019 at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree.  Burial will be in River Junction Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, July 14, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of David. David Earl Tripses was born on April 29, 1944, in Keokuk, the son of Vernon and Bernice (Moyer) Tripses.  He attended school in Millersburg. On August 7, 1971, David was united in marriage to Bonnie Bell in Unionville, MO.  David owned Tripses Fiberglass Shop and worked at Kelly Heating and Air for many years.  He and his wife owned D&B Shows for over 40 years and entertained many people at fairs and festivals across Iowa.  He belonged to the Gibtown Showmen’s Club and the Midwest Showmen’s Club in Minnesota.  David loved to fish and spend time with his family.

David will be deeply missed by his wife, Bonnie of Lone Tree; children, Vernon (Veronica) Tripses of Nichols, Kenneth (Leslie) Tripses of South English, David (Janie) Holmes of Conesville, Brad (Becky) Tripses of Lone Tree, Jesse (Tracey) Tripses of Williamsburg and Tammy (Dan) Crossmon of South English; 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Vernon (Kathryn) Tripses of South English and sister, Mary Hessler of Fairbanks, Ak.

David was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patricia.
