Obituary of Marjorie Goodrid

Marjorie Lillian Perkins-Goodrid, 97, of Coralville, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Colonial Manor Care Center of Columbus Junction. There will be local services. Burial will be held at a later date in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana. The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction is caring for Marjorie's arrangements and her family. Marjorie Lillian Perkins was born on April 3, 1916, in rural Washington County, Indiana the daughter of Leo and Pearl (Dyer) Perkins. She was married to Donald Ray Goodrid for over 50 years. She was employed as a seamstress, making custom slip covers for furniture and made cabbage patch dolls as a hobby. Marjorie will be dearly missed by her daughter, Karen Cooper of Coralville, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
