Obituary of Mary L. Lange

Mary Lange, of Muscatine, died Sunday June 26, 2005, at Unity Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. Casketbearers will be Michael Beason, Craig Beason, Ryan Carter, Gary Karkosh, Scott Miller and Sean Boynton. Honorary casketbearers will be John Lueders, Dick O�Brien, Tom Williams, Mike West, Carl Tiecke, John Bermel, Charles Christophersen and Clayle McCaw. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church. Visitation for Mary will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the American Cencer Society or the Grace Lutheran Church in Mary�s name. Sympathy notes may be left for the Lange family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral & Cremation Services is caring for Mary�s family and her service. Mary L. Byers was born in Freeport, Illinois the daughter of Porter and Faye (Sturtevant) Byers. On November 20, 1971 Mary was united in marriage to Jerry W. Lange at the Grace Lutheran Church in Muscatine. Mary was employed at the Muscatine Care Center as a nurse and was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, collecting recipes, traveling, watching the Iowa Hawkeye basketball team and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mary will be deeply missed by her husband, Jerry of Muscatine, her son, Lance Lange and his wife, Michelle of Des Moines, Iowa; her daughter, Erin Lange-Vandello and her husband, Joe of Tampa, Florida; her two grandchildren, Kelsey Lange of Deerfield Beach, Florida and Nicholas Vandello of Tampa, Florida; and one aunt, Fern Sturtevant of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
