Obituary of Darlene Hazel Gray

Darlene Hazel Gray, 73, of Muscatine, died Saturday, July 09, 2005, at her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 13. 2005 at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Dr. Hal Green of Wesley United Methodist Church will officiate. Casket Bearers will be Darlene�s children Gary, Steven, David, Dan, Mark and Lauri. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for Darlene will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2005 from 4 to 7 PM at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. A memorial has been established for St. Judes Children Hospital. Darlene Hazel Naber was born April 4, 1932 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of William E. and Georgianna H. Dale Naber. On February 7, 1948 Darlene was united in marriage to Ernest E. Gray in Washington, Iowa. Darlene was a member of the St. Mathias Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, her dog Grayboy and was very devoted to her entire family and her friends. Darlene will be deeply missed by her five sons Gary Gray and his wife Kathy, Steven Gray and his wife Karen, David Gray and his wife Cindy, Dan Gray and his wife Margaret and Mark Gray and his wife Mary all of Muscatine; one daughter Lauri Griffin and her husband Doug of Muscatine; 14 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren; one sister Doris Drake and her husband Charles of Muscatine; and an Aunt Viola Billingsley of Muscatine; Father-in-law Louis Gray of Muscatine; and a Sister-in-law Lois Bevan of Sanford, Fla.. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest; one son Michael; one brother Cornelius Giessregen; one sister Agnes Newcomb; and her mother-in-law Bessie Gray.
