Obituary of Viola P. Jensen

Viola P. Jensen, 89, of Muscatine, died Saturday, July 23, 2005, at Unity Hospital, Muscatine. Reverend Paul Ostrem of the Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Bob Barkema, Bob Trevarthen, Gene Harkness, Walter Naber, Mike Paul and Bill Mark. Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church. She married W.G. "Mike� Jensen on December 24, 1937, in Davenport, Iowa. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the Women of the Moose, and the Muscatine General Hospital Auxiliary. She worked as a secretary for Grain Processing Corporation and Kent Feeds for 11 years and also worked as a secretary for their family businesses, Mike�s DX and Mike�s Electrical Service. She did beautiful work with counted cross stitch. She was an avid bowler and golfer and played well into her 80�s. Survivors include her husband, W.G. "Mike� Jensen, of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Florence Metcalf.
