Obituary of Edna A. Henning
Edna A. Henning, 82, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at Bickford Cottage, Muscatine.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2005, at the Zion Lutheran Church. Reverend Paul Ostrem of the Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Walcott Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Mark Henning, Paul Sywassink, Robert Wilks, Sam Curry, Richard O�Brien, and Rick Anders.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2005, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson Foundation and Zion Lutheran Church.
Edna was born on June 23, 1923, in Muscatine, the daughter of Carl and Anna Meyn Freese. She married Raymond W. Henning on June 26, 1942, in Muscatine, Iowa.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the Women of the Moose, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Walcott.
She and her husband owned and operated Henning Implement for 23 years in Muscatine and Walcott. After retiring she received her Real Estate License and was an agent for Alpine and Muscatine Realty until her retirement in 2002.
She enjoyed traveling, family, and her dog.
She enjoyed selling Real Estate.
Survivors include two sons, Don Henning and wife Connie of Fruitland, and Gary Henning and wife Sharon of Walcott; three grandchildren, Melanie Newman of San Antonio, Texas, Cindy Henning of Muscatine, and Mark Henning and his wife Angela of Muscatine; one great grandchild Taylor Newman of San Antonio, Texas; step-mother Margaret Freese of Muscatine; one brother Harold Freese of Muscatine; two sisters Mildred Meyer of Muscatine, and Darlene Martin of Muscatine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond in 1989, and one grandson.
