Obituary of Kyle S Riley
Kyle S. Riley, 54, of Fruitland, died Wednesday, August 10, 2005, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Funeral services will be Monday, August 15, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church. Dr. Hal Green of Wesley United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in New Boston Cemetery with Military Rites by the combined units of the VFW Post #1565 and the American Legion Post #27. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church. Visitation for Kyle will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, family is requesting memorials be directed to Iowa City Hospice in Kyle�s name. Sympathy notes may be left for the Riley family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral & Cremation Services is caring for Kyle�s family and his service.
Kyle Scott Riley was born October 22, 1950 in Aledo, Illinois the son of William Clair and Virginia Webster Riley. On July 4, 1976 Kyle was united in marriage to Susan Dewey in Davenport, Iowa. Kyle was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Delta Chi and was an announcer for KWCC. Kyle enjoyed music, especially playing guitar, fishing for walleye and golfing.
Kyle will be deeply missed by his wife, Susan; two sons, Bret Patrick Riley of Iowa City and Scott Webster Riley and his wife, Cherie Ann of Fruitland; one sister, Teri Lynn Moore and her husband, Marion of Brunswick, Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
