Obituary of Wilma B. Huffman

Wilma B. (Houser) Huffman, 88, of Muscatine, died Saturday, August 13, 2005, at Lutheran Homes. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Reverend Jason Crossen of the Ss Mary and Mathias Parish will officiate. Casket bearers are Amy Redman, John Houser Jr., Brad Marcellus, Ashley Marcellus, Mike Doyle, and Tim Doyle. Honorary bearers will be Kellie Freyermuth and Lisa Timmons. Burial will be in St. Mary�s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Homes, Bishop Hayes School, or donor�s choice. Online condolences for the Huffman family may be left at www.wittichfuneralhome.com. Wilma was born August 19, 1916, in Muscatine, the daughter of Jess and Maude Tucker Blake. She first married Wilfred Houser December 18, 1935. He preceded in March 1972. She then married Hubert Hoffman November 4, 1979. He preceded in October 1995. She was a member of Ss Mary and Mathias Parish. She and her husband Wilfred owned and operated Rink�s Clover Farm Market. Wilma enjoyed bowling, fishing, and camping. Survivors include two sons Bill Houser and wife Carol of Illinois City, Illinois, and John Houser and wife Elaine of Rochester Hills, Michigan; six step children Frederick Huffman, Hubert James Huffman, Janet Chavis, Rodney Huffman, Holly Huffman, and Teri Huffman; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one step granddaughter; one sister Sylvia Aulf of Fruitland; two sisters-in-law Irene Cochran of Muscatine, and Helen Blake of Muscatine; a very special friend Juanita Bridges of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, five brothers, and six sisters and one step son.
