Obituary of H. Darlene Munson

H. Darlene (Eis) Munson, 75, of Muscatine, died Saturday, August 13, 2005, at Genesis Hospital, West Campus, Davenport. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Jerry Foote of the Mulford Evangelical Free Church will officiate. Casket bearers will be Mark Kallenberger, Randy Kallenberger, Douglas Munson, Ronald Munson, Thomas Munson, and Bradley Munson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Leo Munson. Online condolences for the Munson family may be left at www.wittichfuneralhome.com. Darlene was born May 22, 1930, in Muscatine, the daughter of George and Lorena Ricketts Eis. She first married Mark Kallenberger; he preceded. She then married Leo Munson, on May 21, 1982, in Muscatine, Iowa. She attended Mulford Evangelical Free Church and sang in the church choir. She was retired from the Muscatine County Home and later worked at Bickford Cottage. Dorothy really enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband Leo Munson of Muscatine; two sons Mark Kallenberger and Randy Kallenberger both of Muscatine; one daughter Teresa Poole of Mobile, Alabama; 20 grandchildren; and eight grandchildren; one brother Jimmie Eis of Buffalo; three sisters Mae Bird of Davenport, Diane Clearman of Buffalo, and Christine Sindt of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband three brothers, and one sister.
