Obituary of Fred D. Estabrook

Frederick Dayton Estabrook was born on April 6, 1917 in Montpelier, Iowa the son of William Walter and Sadie (Ross) Estabrook. On February 7, 1942, Fred was united in marriage to Eda Fuller in Kansas City, Missouri. Fred served with the United States Army from October 30, 1940 through October 23, 1943 during WWII. He was very active in the Hillcrest Baptist Church where he was a 50 year member. He enjoyed working as a mechanic and loved to sew having made hundreds of quilts for family and friends. Fred will be deeply missed by his wife, Eda of Muscatine; one son, Bob Estabrook and wife, Velda of Muscatine; three daughters, Fredda Cocklin and her husband, Dwight of Illinois City, Joey Symmonds and her husband, David of Muscatine and Bonita Harthan and her husband, Steve of Dallas, Texas; one brother Mickey Estabrook and his wife Crystal of Cedar Rapids; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter Misti Symmonds and many brothers and sisters.
