Obituary of Norman G. Martz

Norman G. Martz, 66, of San Bernardino, California, formerly of Muscatine, died Saturday, October 29, 2005, at his home. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Rev. Paul Ostrem of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Casketbearers will be Bob Cole, Dean Hetzler, Raymond Hetzler, Robert Martz, Robery Meyer and Dean Stecher. Honorary casketbearers will be Richard Meyer, Clifford Burr and Dale Holtz. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held in the Community Room at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation for Norman will be held on Friday, November 4, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Norman Gustavo Martz was born September 4, 1939 in Muscatine the son of William A. and Fern I. Wainscott Martz. When living in Muscatine, Norman attended Ziegler Memorial Lutheran Church. He was an 11-year of the Lighthouse for the Blind. Norman will be deeply missed by his brothers, Billy Martz and his wife, Gloria, of Ontario, California, Bobby Martz and his wife, Lola, of Davenport and Larry Martz and his wife, Janet, of Muscatine; and one sister, Helen Purdy of Brandon, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Darlene Bagley and Linda Martz.
